Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide engineering support to manufacturing through the assessment and resolution of manufacturing problems. The role involves the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, as well as the design, qualification, and implementation of fixtures and tooling for use in the assembly process. The candidate will perform mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery, support production through troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects, and train assemblers on the proper usage of tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing through assessment and resolution of manufacturing problems.

  • Develop and/or improve manufacturing processes.

  • Design, qualify, and implement fixtures and tooling for use in the assembly process.

  • Perform mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.

  • Support production through troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects.

  • Troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, equipment, and processes when defects occur.

  • Train assemblers on proper usage of tooling and serve as a resource for information.

  • Work with assemblers to interpret prints and explain procedures.

  • Collaborate with toolmakers and machinists to ensure mutual understanding of product and required standards.

  • Work with Quality Assurance and other departments to prioritize and resolve issues to keep manufacturing operating.

  • Manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Familiarity with software such as SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work productively with coworkers.

  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management System preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The work environment involves working with various manufacturing equipment and machinery. The candidate will be expected to work closely with assemblers, toolmakers, machinists, and other departments to ensure smooth operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $47.00/hr.
