Minnesota State Job Bank Java Developer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Java Developer to join their team. This role is integral to the analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of business and technical information technology solutions. The successful candidate will apply appropriate software development life cycle methodology to deliver high-quality IT solutions.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct, test, and implement portions of business and technical IT solutions

  • Participate in standard business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions

  • Use appropriate tools to analyze, identify, and resolve business and/or technical problems

  • Apply specialized knowledge in a single discipline such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, knowledge engineering, industry expertise, or legacy evolution

  • Interact with the customer to gain an understanding of the business environment and technical context

  • Validate scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects  

Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years of experience in a similar role

  • Proficiency in Java and other core technologies

  • Experience with custom off the shelf systems is a plus

  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with customers
