National Marrow Donor Program Associate Case Manager - Hybrid/ Remote-2400002V in Minneapolis, Minnesota

POSITION SUMMARY:Please apply online using a laptop or desktop computer.Acts as the single point of contact for all patient case activity for assigned transplant centers and clients. Is accountable to Be The Match and network partners to manage individual patient search progression by facilitating donor and cord blood unit case activities to resolve barriers and issues in order to progress the patient case.Executes a high level of customer service to include continuous development and enhancement of relationships with transplant centers as well as collaborative relationships with supplier network partners. Maintains clinical and HLA knowledge as applicable to case management processes. Utilizes critical thinking and solution-based approach to tackle situations and navigate the nuances of each individual patient case. This position can be remote (US) or hybrid. #LI-Remote #LI-HybridCheck out our video Saving Lives: It's the Best Job EverACCOUNTABILITIES:Patient Case Management:Connects regularly with assigned transplant centers to ensure a thorough understanding of transplant center internal processes, requirements, and challenges; Incorporates this knowledge when managing patient cases.Proactively directs pre-workup activity for the patient search with both internal and external NMDP/Be the Match partners.Consistently reviews patient's case progression and communicates solutions to the transplant center.Advocates on behalf of the patient and transplant center while coordinating donor/cord search and procurement activities.Solves complex problems and serves as a resource to progress each patient case.Provider Satisfaction:Utilizes effective and proactive communication, relationship building and issue management skills to ensure customer satisfaction.Understands the unique needs of each assigned transplant center and continually seeks to work in partnership with the transplant center on patient cases.Maintains clear documentation of transplant center preferences and service needs as well as specific patient case requirements to allow for excellent coverage when out of the office or in the case of transplant center transfers.Receives transplant center feedback in a constructive manner and takes action as appropriate.Quality Assurance:Ensures regulatory compliance when performing case related work; Utilizes accurate and appropriate documentation in order to meet regulatory requirements.Reports incidents, protocol deviations and adverse events in a timely manner according to NMDP/Be The Match policy and FDA requirements.Adheres to NMDP/Be The Match standards, policies and procedures and escalates issues, concerns, and potential deviations to leadership as applicab leREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:Basic understanding of patient case management techniques.Basic understand of effective customer service principles.Data privacy and confidentiality principles for handling medical information.Proficient in using multiple software applications including Microsoft Office.Ability to:Ability to influence decision making based on the best available information.Deal with change and manage multiple priorities.Deliver critical patient case information utilizing effective communication skills.Ability to participate in after-hours on-call rotation.Availability to work up to 6pm CT as workload requires.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree required, Healthcare, science, or a related field preferred or Associate Degree with equivalent business experience.Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare or science environment with at least six months of experience related to patient interaction/care, vendor relationship management or patient interaction or care preferred.Other Requirements:Must successfully complete and pass the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) course in no more than 2 years' total time spent either as a Case Manager, International Case Manager, Case Manager Float or in a combination of the three roles.Ability to partici ate in on-call after hours on-call rotation.DEI COMMITMENT :As part of our values, we are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion at NMDP.
