Work compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel of the Athletic Department. Help assist in the development of all phases for the student-athletes. Assist in advancing the department's mission, vision, and strategic plan including its commitment to equity and diversity. Duties: 15% of time * Work closely with support staff (athletic medicine, equipment, communication, academics) regarding student-athletes. * Ensure student academic success by monitoring tutor and academic advisor schedules. * Assist in the coordination of all team travel - flights, hotels, rental cars, spring break and practice trips when necessary -Assist the Head Coach in annual budget planning for the Men's Golf program 40% of time * Create monthly/weekly/daily development plans for practices, tournament strategies, and course management tactics, for both team and individual athletes. * Analyze key statistics for the development purposes of team and student athletes. -Ensure proper equipment/resources at golf facility is secured for each practice and/or competition. -Help identify routines/processes that are needed at competition sites that are in line with Head Coach's vision -Identify and communicate with the Head Coach the resources required for the team/student athletes when it comes to strength and conditioning, sport psychology, nutrition, and any other developmental opportunities. -Assist the Head Coach in planning the overall competition schedule for team competitions 30% of time * Assist in identification, evaluation, and recruitment of student-athletes. * Assist in all phases of the recruiting process. * Proactively identify prospects for the Head Coach to evaluate. * Travel to observe high potential prospective candidates. * Assist in the planning of all recruiting official/unofficial visits to campus. 15% of time * Assist with community outreach, public relations, and promotional activities as necessary. * Assist in all aspects of home hosted events such as Gopher Invitational, Alumni Events, and Donor Events. Qualifications Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree 1-3 years of related work experience Valid driver's license Preferred: Master's degree, Leadership degree About the Department With more than 140 years of tradition, Gopher Athletics is one of the oldest and most decorated athletics departments in the country.
