Accounts Payable Manager
Role Summary
We are searching for an Accounts Payable Manager for our client. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for processing day-to-day accounts payable and assisting with special projects. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workflow for high-volume activity in a fast-paced, growing company.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage accounts payable activities, including invoice entry, general ledger coding, payment processing, filing and data storage, and creating process efficiencies as needed
· Research and resolve invoice discrepancies/issues and reconcile vendor statements
· Manage and maintain positive relationships with internal and external business partners and respond to requests/inquiries
· Analyzes expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment
· Ensure accurate monthly reconciliation of accounts payable to the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies
· Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, ensuring all expenses are recorded accurately
· Prepare and submit reports related to accounts payable activities, including aged payables, paymentDyn forecasts, and vendor payment histories
· Assist with annual and periodic financial audits as needed
· Lead year-end 1099 preparation and maintaining W-9 records
· Maintain ongoing procedural documentation to ensure compliance
· Continuously review and recommend improvements to AP processes and systems to streamline operations, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency
· Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
· 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a fast-paced, growing organization. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles is preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
· Experience scaling and managing a team of accounts payable professionals
· Prior experience managing team members both onshore and offshore is ideal
· Experience with both domestic and international vendor relationships
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent communication skills
· Previous experience using Concur and Microsoft Dynamics
· Understanding of cash forecasting
· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
· Experience with acquisition integration, preferred
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
