Warehouse Laborer - Construction - 3 fulltime, temporary, peak load (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/25-11/1/25
Employer: Big Apple Concrete Supply, Inc, 55 E. 2nd Street, Mineola, NY 11501.
Duties: Receive, stack and store material equipment. Stack and organize boxes and material in warehouse. Manually move freight and stock. Pack and unpack items to the stocked on shelves in warehouse. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, reporting any damage to supervisor. Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling material, packing boxes and assisting customers with material. Clean and maintain warehouse. Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly, bending, stooping and standing for long periods.
No experience or education required.
Work hours: Mon-Sat, 7am-3pm. 48 hours/week at $19.17/hour. Possible OT at $28.76/hour. Bonuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, or tenure.
Employer will not provide housing, but will assist workers in securing housing upon request.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
3/4s Guarantee: The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
