FTRC Intern
The Opportunity
FCA is seeking an intern who will provide non-clinical support and advocacy services to individuals within the Integrated Clinic through the appropriate disclosure of their lived experience.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate understanding of the peer role. Utilize lived experience to engage people from various settings into treatment.
Provide support, encouragement, and guidance in linking individuals to appropriate services.
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with individuals.
Follow-up on treatment recommendations and referrals made by clinical staff and assist with adherence to treatment appointments.
Provide warm handoffs to treatment providers and/or recovery support services and other community resources as indicated in the treatment plan.
Provide outreach, advocacy, mentoring and recovery support services to those seeking or sustaining recovery.
Participate in on-site and off-site activities with participants when applicable.
Responsible for crisis intervention and incident reporting procedures with the assistance of supervisor
Act as an advocate and liaison for participants for access to supports.
Document services in program EHR following requirements set by OMH, OASAS, SAMHSA and Medicaid.
Participate in weekly supervision.
Qualifications
H.S Diploma or Equivalent
completion of Core Courses through the Academy of Peer Services
Valid and clean Driver's License
Schedule: 14-21 hours per week
