THE WORK

Derco is seeking a self-motivated Project Engineering Associate Manager who is looking for a challenging work environment.

You will work as an integrated part of the multi-disciplinary Derco Engineering & Technical Solutions team and be a key component in leading a team that designs, develops, and delivers custom aircraft component overhaul and repair solutions.

You will lead an engineering team that interprets technical engineering data and develops solutions to support related activities such as tool and fixture design, development of component overhaul training programs, etc.

Please Note: Domestic and International travel is required along with relocation to Milwaukee, WI.

You will coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering team within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program, reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Excellent oral/written communication skills and proven leadership experience

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software packages with emphasis on Excel and Power Point

• Experience in engineering project management responsibilities including managing suppliers, developing BOEs and staffing plans, performing technical evaluations, supporting proposals and negotiations, and managing project cost and schedule

• Prior leadership and people management, to include employee recruitment/retention, selection

& training, performance assessment, work assignment, salary, recognition/disciplinary actions,

& career development

• Demonstrated track record of sustained high performance with 7+ years of experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Tooling and Test Equipment used in support of aircraft depot operations and/or component overhaul and repair

• Demonstrated excellence in communicating with Senior Levels of Management as well as Customers

• Demonstrated Problem-Solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills and the ability to effectively work within a diverse workforce

• Ability to multi-task across multiple contracts with differing terms and conditions

• Experience working with USG (Air Force & Navy), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) customers and contracts

• Experience with Inventor and/or other 3D modeling tools

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
