NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE Mobile Engineering Manager in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Mobile Engineering Manager at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will manage a team of mobile Software Engineers. Own areas of mobile application development and related services, while directing work of other team members. Coordinate strategies amongst partner product and development teams to ensure related technologies and products work together. Prioritize and reduce technical debt and developer friction to ensure mobile app is modern, fast, and easy to use. Assess quality of releases through monitoring of incoming bugs and code changes to identify quality issues and trends. Provide performance reviews and coaching to help team members grow personally and professionally. Participate in recruiting efforts for team. Lead agile software development teams. Work with Restful services. Collaborate with partners in product and design to scope, prioritize, design, and deliver technology solutions. Develop and lead solution delivery using agile methodology. Use solid understanding of the key components across lifecycle of shipping software: prioritization, scoping, estimating, developing, testing and QA, documentation, release management, and support. Deploy and support our client-facing mobile applications in a public app store and manage our corporate application accounts. Identify proper architectural decisions and follow through on their implementation. Provide clear understanding of how a mobile application fits into larger system technology stack.
