Randstad is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto or Diesel Mechanic who is looking for a new opportuinty to permanently join a production team in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate must have a extensive background in auto or diesel maintenance repair. This candidate must be willing to learn how to diagnose and repair generators and motors as you will be responsible for ensuring the quailty meets company standards.

salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 5 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Will cross-train and be required to learn areas (Assembly and Disassembly) (Electrical testing/diagnostics)

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Observe and test the operation of generators and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.

• Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.

• Perform tests of machinery and equipment throughout the repair process to ensure that generator meets quality specifications.

• Reassemble equipment after completion of repairs, inspections and testing.

• May use overhead crane and forklift. Must be willing to get certified, if needed.

• Ensure each check point and traceability of each component is collected and tracked properly in the DCS computer system, if applicable. Must fill out necessary paperwork, such as auto-controls, etc.

• Will have to track time assigned to each job for costing purposes. Must clock all time in DCS including productive, non-productive, rework, training, lunch and breaks.

• Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments to complete tasks.

• Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their work area.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
