Job Summary The position is responsible for leading Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) development, designing and developing effective solutions in support of business strategies. Additionally, this role leads people and projects and is essential toward maturing CareOregon\'s EDI development model. This position spends substantial time partnering with business leaders, architecting, and implementing IS priorities (plan, design, develop, and maintain) Essential Responsibilities Lead the design and maintenance of custom EDI development and processes. Provide EDI design expertise to the organization; lead large projects with assistance from manager, lead small projects independently, and participate and consult on other projects. Advise other IS teams on best practices of EDI development and design. Serve as a resource to junior developers. Author and serve as subject matter expert to define requirements, standards, and best practices for EDI development. Monitor and continually review existing systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations. Conduct product and vendor research, and present recommendations to management. Establish and manage effective relations with vendors and trading partners. Employee Leadership Provide leadership for a team in support of team direction and goals. Provide input into staffing needs; assist in recruiting and hiring staff, using an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens. Participate in organizing, scheduling, monitoring, and improving work; help ensure employees have information to meet job expectations and have coverage during absences. Contribute to the development, communication, and oversight of team and individual goals. Train, lead, and coach employees; may facilitate team meetings.
