Summary

The Field Construction Crew Worker I is responsible for performing various construction related duties at a construction site, such as mixing, pouring and shoveling concrete.

Essential Job Duties

  • Pours, spreads and finishes concrete.

  • Designs, builds and sets up concrete forms.

  • Cuts and ties rebar to reinforce concrete.

  • Molds expansion joints and edges.

  • Punches, cuts and drills holes in concrete.

  • Digs, spreads, and levels dirt and gravel.

  • Lifts and carries scale/building materials, tools, and supplies.

  • Removes concrete and scales.

  • Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications - Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous general work experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

  • This position typically works outdoors. May be exposed to extreme temperatures.

  • The employee will be exposed to and working near moving mechanical parts and equipment.

  • Constant and proper use of personal protective equipment is required to be worn while on work sites.
