Bureau of Reclamation Supply Technician in Mills, Wyoming

Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supply Technician. Responsibilities - Oversee property management activities within the facility warehouse including receiving, issuing, accountability, and shipping of material and supplies. - Perform annual physical inventory inspections of warehouse to identify and correct inventory discrepancies. - Utilizes Capital Asset Resource Management Application software (CARMA) to perform recordkeeping, track purchase requests, maintain inventory, and arrange transportation of materials and supplies to the warehouse. - Develop and update procedures and methodologies to enhance storage, maintain accurate records, and manage inventory. - Adhere to policies and guidelines to make purchases of equipment and supplies with government issued credit card. Ensure all purchases and corresponding documentation are logged, monthly credit card statements are uploaded electronically, and approved by approving official within approved timeline. - Compile necessary information for monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual/annual reports. Analyzes data regarding vehicle and heavy equipment utilization/operation, breakdown and repair, and maintenance. - Ensure packaging, labeling, and documentation are in place to arrange for the storage, disposal, and transportation of hazardous waste materials generated by the facility. To qualify at the GS-05, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-04 level in federal service having demonstrated experience assisting with ordering supplies for an office or organization and inputting data into an automated database. You could otherwise qualify on the basis of Education having Four (4) years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. You may combine specialized experience and education to meet the minimum qualifications. To qualify at the GS-06, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in federal service having demonstrated experience assisting with purchasing supplies and replacement items for an office or organization; updating an automated database to track inventory, maintenance, and supplies; and compiling information to prepare reports. To qualify at the GS-07, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-06 level in federal service having demonstrated experience purchasing supplies and providing property management and fleet/vehicle management for an office or organization; maintaining an automated database to track inventory, maintenance, and supplies; and compiling information to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade (Not Applicable to GS-05 level): Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 07/10/2024. Education This vacancy announcement allows substituting education for experience at the GS-05 grade level. The full performance of this position is GS-07. Progression to this grade is neither guaranteed nor automatic. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval.
