Aston Carter Transportation Specialist in Millington, Tennessee

Job Title: Transportation SpecialistJob Description

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the tendering of inbound and outbound loads to multiple carriers. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, and production departments to ensure accurate and timely shipping of orders. A significant part of your role will involve maintaining organized records of all inbound and outbound loads. You will also be expected to promptly respond to customer and supplier inquiries regarding their shipments. Scheduling inbound and outbound loads, verifying and documenting truck weights, issuing and signing truck B/L for all outgoing shipments, and reviewing, validating, and coding freight bills against inbound and outbound shipments will be key responsibilities in this role.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of using SAP for data entry and processing orders

  • Ability to manage the tendering of inbound and outbound loads

  • Experience in coordinating with multiple departments

  • Proficiency in scheduling and verifying shipments

  • Experience in reviewing, validating and coding freight bills

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Millington, Tennessee.
