GMC Prep School announces an opening for a 7th-grade Science or math teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Georgia Military College Prep School is a Kindergarten - 12th-grade public, independent, military, college-preparatory school with a mission to develop the intellect and elevate the character of the over 900 students we serve.

This position will be for a full-time faculty member who will teach 7th-grade Science or math. The position also includes coaching duties and/or club/activity sponsorship. This position holds a 10-month contract and pays State-scale along with State Benefits including membership in the Georgia Teacher Retirement System.
Please submit proof of valid Georgia teaching certificate or verification of enrollment in an appropriate teaching program that qualifies to teach under Professional Standard Guidelines by attaching a scanned teaching certificate or enrollment verification to the application.
The applicant’s cover letter should include a reference to which extra-curricular activities the applicant would sponsor to support or enrich our current offerings.
Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement-- Applicants must hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate in Middle Grades OR be currently enrolled in a program that leads to a valid Georgia teaching certificate no later than July 1, 2024.
Preferred Requirement-- Teaching experience in Middle School Science
