Georgia Military College, a two-year college located in Milledgeville, Ga., is seeking a part-time assistant coach for its women's soccer program,effective July 1, 2025.This position is a 11-month position and reports to the women's soccer head coach. GMC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA), which is also known as Region 17 in the NJCAA.

Major Responsibilities:* Instructs student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success.* Assists in the recruitment of future student athletes.* Assists in the necessary preparation to hold practices and games.* Knowledge of field maintenance for games and practices.* Attends staff meetings for the purpose of planning and evaluating the program.* Promotes and encourages fair play, good sportsmanship, and ethical standards of conduct both on and off the field.* Assists with maintaining a yearly inventory of all new and used equipment* Performs any other duties as assigned by the Head Coach of the sport. Necessary Skills:1. Knowledgeable of current rules, techniques, and procedures required for the activity.2. Must be organized and punctual.3. Conducts oneself in a manner that exemplifies self-control and the promotion of good 4. Sportsmanship

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent

  • Experience playing and coaching soccer

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous coaching experience at the four-year or two-year college level
  • Knowledge and experience of coaching goalkeepers

  • Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations

  • Competed as a member of a collegiate soccer program

    Interested applicants should be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate practice schedules, travel for competition and recruiting, and handle other administrative duties within the athletics department as set forth by the women’s soccer head coach or athletics administration.
