Job Description: Position Title: Demand Planner Location: Bothell, WA Reporting to: Demand Planning Manager The Demand Planner is responsible for applying extensive knowledge of principles, theories, concepts and industry practices in the area of the Demand Planning process. Responsible for all forecasting activities associated with internal and external customers and products. Creates and maintains forecasting models utilizing business intelligence and forecast data gathered from business functions/teams at various levels, horizons, and intervals. Accountable for monitoring performance of the process and continuous improvement in output, accuracy and bias. This is an onsite position in Bothell, WA. Main Duties and Responsibilities Develops solutions to a variety of complex and unusual problems that require independent judgment and ingenuity relative to demand planning often referring to policies and procedures for guidance. Work is accomplished under general direction and completed work is reviewed for results of accuracy and adequacy. Develop demand / statistical forecasts utilizing demand-planning software at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons. Maintain demand planning data and systems; prepare and maintain relevant material and reports. Drive the consensus aggregated demand plan and coordinate the dis-aggregated product mix forecast for the planning horizon. Develop product mix forecasts as input for supply planning, based on aggregate demand plan and work with Program Management to fine-tune the product mix plan. Gather, prepare, analyze, and validate forecast data; review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, summarize, aggregate and evaluate forecast results; develop statistical forecast models. Work with sales, marketing, finance, and sales/inventory/operations planning (SIOP) teams to research, review, reconcile variances and refine forecast models to reflect updated assumptions. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts. Provide input to the Supply Chain organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply chain. Work with Supply Chain management team to monitor inventory levels and replenish or mitigate over-coverage situations. Review sales plans, customer finance budget updates or latest estimates and demand drivers. Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from SIOP. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, mathematics or other relevant fields 1-3 years of relevant inventory planning or demand planning experience Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Office and analytics software is required Ability to recognize patterns and trends in large data sets and use numerical information to develop business strategies Strong math, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Ability to summarize and explain complex information to others Preferred Qualifications SQL experience preferred The compensation for this position is $42,400 - $63,600 annually.
