Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Project Manager.

Project Manager to over see the planning and construction of a Geothermal Power Plant. The technology used is an enhanced geothermal system (EGS) based on drilling and fracking techniques from the shale oil and gas industries to overcome traditional limitations with geothermal projects.

The position is a full time position. The project is slated to last until 2033. While the project is located in Utah, candidates can work remotely with trips to the site when needed.

Requirements

Individual must have at least 5 years of executive experience managing, directing and leading its organization and its key personnel and team members in the evaluation and oversight of geothermal power production projects and geothermal drilling operations.

Individual will also have demonstrated experience with:

  • Project finance

  • Advanced systems in the Project or a closely related technology

  • Supply chain management

  • Complex technology management

  • Integration and construction

  • Startup and initial operations of geothermal power production projects of similar complexity

  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating the reliability and performance of geothermal power production systems and geothermal drilling operations

  • An understanding of probabilistic and statistical methods related to risk assessments, fault tree analysis, failure mode and effects analysis as these techniques relate to operational reliability and safety.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technical staff to address emerging project issues utilizing industry leaders and experts available within its organization, universities, trade associations, and national laboratories.

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure reports and deliverables meet expectations; and the ability inform, advise, and report findings to senior Department of Energy personnel and contractor managers.

Education: Individual must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines, physical sciences, public or business administration related to technical or construction management. An advanced degree at the masters or doctoral level is preferred, but not necessary, in consideration of relevant work experience.
