POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance System Specialist is a centralized function responsible for creating and maintaining maintenance data, preventive maintenance plans, work orders and dispatches in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Maintenance system Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring dispatches and work orders are responded to and closed in a reasonable timeframe. This will include, but not limited to, generating and monitoring reports pertaining to safety, production equipment, toolroom and building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, telecom, landscape, building structure, etc). This oversight includes routine repairs as well as preventive activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review open dispatches and work orders by area, provide timely feedback to area supervision on overdue items.

  • Set up new users and provide general user support of CMMS system.

  • Work with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have ability to perform analysis and utilize charts in Excel.

  • Work with the Training & Development department to create and deliver maintenance \ user training.

  • Provide maintenance and value stream leadership with reporting on preventive maintenance schedules (PM’s) and compliance.

  • Assist with creation of automatically generated notification reports to supervision for periods of extended downtime, in critical areas.

  • Set up and create custom reports/dashboards as needed.

  • Create, schedule, print and close work orders or dispatches that support production and building equipment.

  • Demonstrate a great level of proficiency with the CMMS system and a high level of customer service skills to the operations team.

  • Support the Maintenance Manager in all building aspects, such as contacting outside vendors and contractors regarding power shutdowns, outages that may occur, utilities and other maintenance issues that may arise.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED .

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Knowledge of Leading2Lean, SAP or other CMMS software.

  • Understanding of technical and maintenance terminology and manufacturing processes.

  • Typing skills shall reflect versatility and accuracy.

Salary Range: LG7 - $19.19 - 32.75 per hour, based on experience.
