Corteva Agriscience Non-Destructive Evaluation Inspector in Midland, Michigan

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) Inspector to join our company at our Midland, MI facility. The NDE inspector inspects and interprets inspection results of vessels, tanks, piping systems, in accordance with applicable codes.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in development of inspection and test plans, examine equipment, document results, and make recommendations regarding repair/upgrade/retirement of equipment.

  • Perform internal/external inspections on process equipment.

  • Complete confined space entries.

  • Perform elevated work to inspect pipelines.

  • Inspect fiberglass reinforced plastic equipment, glass lined steel equipment, coatings and weldments for integrity as part of new and existing construction.

  • Comply with all safety regulations (state, local, and company).

  • Complete inspection reports.

  • Work with materials engineers to evaluate complex findings.

  • React rapidly to evolving issues and dynamic scheduling situations.

  • Report major deficiencies immediately to ensure resolution.

  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and incident investigations related to equipment failure.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • You have your High School Diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

  • You have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

  • You have a valid US driver’s license.

  • You value safety and always take care to follow safety rules and procedures.

  • You are familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with basic tasks such as checking email and entering information.

  • You are a team player and willing to work with other trades to complete the job.

  • You are certified OR in the process of obtaining certification in at least one applicable API code (510, 570, and 653).

  • You are willing and able to perform confined space entry, climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • You are willing and able to work a day shift schedule with overtime as well as being part of the on-call rotation schedule. This includes being willing and able to take calls during the week and on some weekends as needed to support operations.
