Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aCorporate Social Media Manager! This position can be located at any Dow location in North America or Latin America.

About you and this role

The Dow Corporate Social Media Manager, in addition to directly managing Dow’s corporate social media channels, plays a key and visible role across global Public Affairs to help shape the Company’s digital narrative and foster engagement, both from within Dow and externally.

You will be responsible for coordinating content, campaigns, and other social communications efforts, ensuring a cohesive and impactful online presence. You will also be accountable for the overall governance of Dow’s 70+ branded social media accounts - maintaining brand consistency, sharing current best practices, and working with channel owners to engage audiences effectively.

A successful candidate will demonstrate curiosity and a keen awareness of social trends and world events, translating real-time circumstances into agile strategy. This individual will also exercise sound judgement on when and how to accomplish the work, striking a sustainable balance between their overall wellbeing and offline priorities with the reality that social media is 24/7 and often requires action outside of traditional business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the weekly Content & Communications Alignment (CCA) calls to facilitate the coordination of near-term themes and stories.

  • Participate in the Editorial Production Team’s efforts to achieve an integrated approach to storytelling; responsible for how the Dow narrative is translated onto corporate social media channels.

  • Serve as the senior social media focal point for major corporate initiatives, events or announcements; interface with key influential stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Own and evolve the social media training curriculum and communications to ensure scalability and consistency in all Dow social media channels and initiatives.

  • Responsible for content development for all corporate channels.

  • Define relevant key performance indictors and establish social media measurement strategy.

  • Oversee the scoping and delivery of all Enterprise social media projects.

  • Manage relationships with social media agencies and the evaluation of current and potential tools.

  • Monitor online conversations and trends to identify proactive and reactive opportunities to build and/or defend Company brand and reputation.

  • Activate as a support to the Corporate Crisis Management Team (CMT) as crisis or potential crisis circumstances arise.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.

  • For U.S. Applicants:A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Skills

  • Journalism, marketing, digital communications or other communications background.

  • Excellent writer and content creator; emphasis on writing for social channels.

  • Process-driven approach to work, highly organized, and metrics driven.

  • Strong collaboration skills.
