Actalent Electronic Technician in Middletown, Pennsylvania
Job Title: Electronic TechnicianJob Description
As an Electronic Technician, you will conduct a variety of electronic and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, and parts to ensure they operate according to specifications. You will apply your knowledge of electronic principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. Your role involves troubleshooting non-conforming or malfunctioning products down to the component level using schematics and original specifications as a guide. You will utilize hand tools such as multimeters, voltage meters, and oscilloscopes to perform electrical inspections and tests. Collaborating with Engineers, from Development to Manufacturing to Quality, and even end customers, you will engage in testing and troubleshooting of products ranging from R&D prototypes to inspection before shipment and handling warranty or return claims.
Hard Skills
Application of electronic theory and test methods for troubleshooting and diagnosing
Knowledge of schematics for electronics, electrical assemblies, and subassemblies
Electronic assembly using hand tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters for testing, repair, or refurbishments
Soft Skills

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
You will spend 75% of your time at your bench conducting tests or troubleshooting, 10% in calls or meetings to discuss project loads or learn about new products, and 15% working with Engineering, Quality, or Clients to improve design or products based on troubleshooting, testing, or inspection results. You will work in a team of 4-6 Electronics Technicians, reporting to a supervisor and interacting closely with shipping, the floor, quality teams, and engineers. There's a definite opportunity for this role to become permanent quickly.
