What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney Cold Section Module Center (CSMC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who is a goal-oriented, detail-focused leader to grow and lead a team of manufacturing engineers in our Middletown and East Hartford, CT facilities. This Associate Director position will be responsible for leading our manufacturing engineering support including staffing, ME discipline health, process design, process control and production support. The team is responsible for identifying and implementing process optimization & control methods to eliminate and prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce our overall product costs.

  • This position will be working with the Component Integration Product Teams (CIPTs), Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Operations, Quality and other support organizations.

  • This position will partner with management to drive and support project pipelines to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives.

  • In this role you will create and establish standard work scorecards and metrics to ensure progress to goals and objectives critical to improving our manufacturing process capability & quality performance.

  • Position will be located in Middletown, CT with minimal travel required to East Hartford, CT.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and minimum 12 years engineering experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering.

  • Broad understanding of aerospace manufacturing, with 10+ years relevant experience.

  • Proven track record of leadership, innovation, and initiative.

  • Project management experience with demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines and manufacturing.

  • Ability to drive change management & organizational health improvements.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
