Cordis Sr. Sales Trainer (North America) in Miami Lakes, Florida

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive training programs for our salesforce. Reporting to the Manager of Sales Education, this role will play a critical part in equipping our sales team with the knowledge, tools, and techniques needed to bring new technologies to market, sustain legacy business and succeed in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

Culture of Learning:

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the cardiovascular space including clinical protocols, procedural overviews, product indications, clinical evidence and market dynamics

• Advocate for compliant, on-label and audit-ready programming while upholding a strong ethical standard to protect learning plans and documentation in accordance with standards of business conduct

• Articulate complex concepts to a variety of learner audiences

• Develop a culture of learning in which all teammates are inspired to enhance and self-direct their knowledge

Learning Plan & Content Development:

• Lead the strategic development of learning plans, dictating the method and modality for how products are trained and with application of adult-learning principles

• Develop training content that is clinical, product and sales-focused, ensuring a balanced approach to training and best preparing sales teammates to be effective

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop high-quality training materials, including presentations, videos, e-learning modules, and job aids

• Design and create interactive exercises and simulations to reinforce key concepts and enhance learning outcomes

Training Facilitation:

• Lead and facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for sales teammates, sales managers and other relevant stakeholders

• Deliver comprehensive product training, sales techniques and selling strategies tailored to various audience levels

• Provide extensive clinical training to ensure sales teammates can effectively communicate and educate on the clinical benefits of commercially-available medical devices to healthcare professionals

Needs Assessment & Curriculum Design:

• Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and skill levels within the sales organization

• Develop comprehensive training curricula and learning paths to address identified needs and support career development

• Work closely with manager, education leadership and sales leadership to align training initiatives with business objectives and sales targets, maintaining an equal focus on clinical support and selling capabilities

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

• Implement evaluation metrics and assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement

• Analyze training data and feedback to make data-driven decisions and refine training strategies

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in sales education and clinical education, ensuring a balanced and up-to-date approach to training initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, clinical or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered

• 3+ years of experience in a learning & development role, preferably in the medical device or healthcare industry and supporting a sales organization

• Experience in cardiovascular and/or endovascular market preferred

• Proven track record of designing and implementing successful sales education programs that drive measurable results

• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and training evaluation techniques

• Excellent presentation, communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences

• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable training strategies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS) and sales enablement platforms (VR, simulation, coaching)

• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time and as determined by direct manager
