Role Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the preparation and consolidation of the yearly and quarterly business forecasts and budgets. Additionally, the role supports on the reporting and consolidation of financial information for LatAm TV Production Miami, Mexico, and Colombia.

The Senior Financial Analyst reports directly to the Director of Finance for TV Production in Miami. This role provides assists with the production financial oversight, corporate accounting, internal controls, overhead reporting, production development reporting and ad-hoc analysis to the business as needed. In addition, this role assists on reporting and communication with the finance and accounting teams in LA and London.

Core Responsibilities:

30% Business Planning: Assist in the preparation and submission of consolidated budgets/forecasts including all required corporate submissions for LatAm TV Production (Miami, Mexico, and Colombia) including quarterly forecast and MRP/Budget. Budget/Forecast include P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash-flow. Prepare consolidated reports and business summaries to ensure controls across all areas and allow for transparency and decision making.

30% Reporting: Collaborating and coordinating the gathering of data from all departments for the preparation of the monthly financial dashboard report across Miami, Mexico and Colombia. Monthly review of the production financial dashboard with local finance and management team. Prepare monthly actuals reports vs. forecast for KPI.

20% Ad-hoc reporting and ongoing business support: Help management with reporting and business modeling to identify efficiencies or potential opportunities to add value across the business. Managing the preparation of financial analysis and reporting to internal and external clients. Prepare presentations as needed.

15% Accounting for LatAm Production: Support financial reporting to Home Office. Help analyze and report monthly development, overhead and fulfillment spend. Support accounting group for proper recording and maintenance of monthly accruals, intercompany activity, and treatment for revenue recognition. Manage eliminations for proper reporting between the LOBs.

5% Territory Funding: Assist with the funding to local production companies for each of the production. Assisting on the tracking and cash management across the business.

Preferred Years of Experience:

+3 Finance and Accounting experience including monthly close and financial statement preparation and analysis.

Education, Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Advanced skills in Excel and PPT is required, SAP knowledge is a plus.

  • Bilingual; Spanish required. Portuguese a plus.

  • Strong Accounting Skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a cross functional team environment.

  • Ability to identify issues and appropriate resolutions.

  • Strong level of communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Entertainment knowledge is a plus, TV production/distribution is preferred.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • BA Degree - Finance, Economics, Accounting
