The Sr. Account Manager position is based in Florida, USA, near Tampa, Miami, Gainesville, or Alachua.

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Sr. Account Manager and make a significant impact in the BioProduction Group portfolio of businesses. You will have the opportunity to provide integrated product and service solutions to Biotechnology, Gene Therapy, CDMO, and Biopharmaceutical customers across the entire bioprocessing workflow. Your work will contribute to the development of life-saving therapies and groundbreaking scientific advancements.

A Day in the Life

  • Engage in daily sales activities according to the sales activity plan.

  • Collaborate with technical sales specialists to navigate complex sales situations.

  • Maintain and expand the customer base while identifying new process opportunities.

  • Coordinate custom projects by collaborating with various BPG functional groups.

  • Meet assigned sales quotas and expense targets.

  • Proactively seek out sales opportunities and provide innovative solutions to customer needs.

  • Drive growth through effective territory planning and account management.

  • Hold regular discussions with the sales manager to review territory activity and resolve sales situations.

Keys to Success

To excel in this role, you will need:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or equivalent experience. An advanced degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience selling into the bioprocessing market or related field.

  • Advanced selling skills and a consultative approach.

  • Established sales history and relationships with key biopharmaceutical accounts.

  • Knowledge of the bioprocessing workflow and the ability to engage technical specialists.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data and technical information.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a matrixed team.

  • Experience with SFDC CRM and PowerBI is a plus.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This position requires the ability to travel and work remotely. The work environment may involve laboratory or office settings.
