[The Production Assistant Manager oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the production facility. This role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and guide team members towards achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position reports to the Production Manager [and Senior Manager of Production and Materials. Position may involve supervising Production Supervisors and Group/Team Leaders. It plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production facility, meeting customer goals and objectives while upholding quality and safety standards.

  1. Lead and supervise team members, providing training and guidance to ensure efficient operation of production processes.
  2. Identify opportunities for improving production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, and implement appropriate measures.
  3. Participate in daily meetings to review production status and discuss any issues or concerns.
  4. Maintain a focus on achieving zero defects or complaints by implementing quality control measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Communicate expectations clearly to team members and hold them accountable for their performance, utilizing multilingual skills as necessary.
  6. Be visible on the shop floor remaining actively involved with team members to provide guidance and/or support.
  7. Promote and manage 6S.
  8. Drive a culture of safety by promoting awareness and adherence to safety protocols, aiming for zero injuries or safety incidents.
  9. Utilize Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiently to analyze production data and present reports as needed.
  10. Maintain accurate records of team member performance, attendance, and other relevant information.
  11. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to optimize production processes and efficiency.
  12. Perform any other duties or assignments as required by the management team.

**[EDUCATION REQUIRED: [Bachelors Degree in Mechanics, Engineering, Technology or equivalent work experience.

**[EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: [Four years progressive experience in supervisory positions that included direct customer contact, line supervision experience in an industrial environment, work and product flow planning, shipping and receiving, sequencing, transportation, MES Systems, quality management and TS 16949.

**[EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:[ [LEAN Manufacturing experience, PLC controls, and TS 16949 is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English. The ability to use technology or other methods of communications to communicate with other relevant languages such as Korean or Spanish speakers.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
