Job Description

This role is an integral part of AbbVie’s continued success in HCP (Health Care Provider) Omnichannel customer experiences and will be responsible for providing insights into HCP Omnichannel promotional performance, investment allocation and ROI, and be a strong collaborative partner in campaign planning and assessment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering analysis, insights, and recommendations to marketing leaders to drive increased HCP Omnichannel promotional performance across the marketing portfolio.

The role of Omnichannel Analytics, Associate Director, is to lead analytics and measurement in support of the evolving HCP Omnichannel Promotional Capabilities roadmap, across brands within the Immunology franchise. The ideal candidate has a keen ability of translating data into insights, deep understanding of tactical level omnichannel analytics, and experience with designing and executing analytics plans for omnichannel experiences. The ideal candidate will also be forward-thinking and will be able to anticipate the organization’s needs as customer needs change with the ever-evolving Omnichannel and analytical landscapes and must be able to meaningfully communicate insights and information to a broad group of stakeholders through exceptional oral and written communication.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds analytic plans that heighten visibility of HCP omnichannel promotional opportunities and improves the effectiveness and/or efficiency of AbbVie’s professional customers’ (HCPs) omnichannel experiences.

  • Influences brand leaders and gain buy-in on analytically sound approaches to performance evaluation and prioritization of high-impact analytical efforts.

  • Consults on the appropriate methodologies to test and measure effectiveness of various marketing tactics and ensures standardization and alignment where possible.

  • Leads a team of Omnichannel Analysts and is responsible for mentorship and career planning of high performing individuals

  • Delivers omnichannel optimization recommendations using insights and analytics, in partnership with Research, Digital Strategy and/or Brand Analytics.

  • Pioneers Innovative analytic approaches for mid- and long-term impact measurement while providing guidance on short term analytics.

  • Maintains a strong pulse on industry digital and analytic trends.

  • Partners with Franchise Analytics to leverage segmentations that drive audience builds and activation.

  • Conducts financial impact analysis and scenario-planning for omnichannel promotional efforts.

  • Partners with Business Technology Solutions, Data Science, Customer Experience, Media and Franchise Insights/Analytics teams to orchestrate new approaches and data sources to power omnichannel analytics and activation opportunities for HCP promotional efforts.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of the cross-digital analytics space, including digital media, search, social media, social listening, online video, websites, mobile applications, data management platforms, e-mail, programmatic targeting, endemic, paid search vs. SEO.

  • 10+ years of experience in identifying and outlining key campaign metrics and building campaign performance/measurement plans.

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in web analytics and digital media analytics.

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with using statistical tools for marketing/media performance modeling, measurement, and optimization (e.g., marketing-mix modeling, multi-touch attribution).

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with designing and executing randomized controlled tests to measure impact of marketing stimuli (i.e., A/B testing, Test/Control).

  • Extensive hands-on experience and fluency in coding SQL (e.g., BigQuery, Hue, SQL Assistant).

  • Familiarity with concepts surrounding tagging implementation – tagging schemas, QA/testing.

  • High degree of adaptability, perseverance, creativity, and acumen to flourish in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a concentration in marketing/sales/quantitative analysis preferred. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Strong analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving. Experience with current methods Analytics/Machine Learning.

  • Previous DMP, Media Analytics, Adobe Analytics Experience and Familiarity with click-stream data.

  • Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data sources like IQVIA/SHS Sales Data (APLD, DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), and Specialty pharmacy data and one or multiple analytic domains (promo optimization, digital, launch support, etc.) is a plus.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, project management and vendor management skills.
