A.T. Still University ASHS - SLP Clinical Education Administrative Assistant in Mesa, Arizona

Description

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Clinical Education Administrative Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The clinical education administrative assistant will provide administrative and clerical support for ASHS’s Speech-Language Pathology Program in the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the DCE to ensure compliance for accreditation in all items related to Speech-Language Pathology clinical education.

  • Create and maintain shared Google documents and files related to clinical education processes and various projects.

  • Work closely with the DCE, Program Director, faculty, and students to manage progress and activities related to program database and software (e.g. CALIPSO and Simucase).

  • Provide administrative support for the DCE, Program Director, and other members of the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program, as needed (e.g. meeting minutes, finance requests, website and program handbook updates).

  • Work collaboratively with the program manager to ensure the SLP program and its activities run smoothly.

  • Support student clinical activities (health fair, screening days, etc.)

  • Support student program activities (new student orientation day, pinning ceremony, graduation, etc.)

  • Support scheduling of clinical forum meetings for the DCE.

  • Maintain and update clinical educator/supervisor documentation.

  • Maintain and update student immunization records (including the 25 hours of observation records in Calipso) needed for compliance with program and University requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • Two to three years experience in an office environment.

  • Experience working in a healthcare or academic setting is preferred.

  • Working in a fast-paced administrative environment, with multiple personnel and multiple tasks.

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize jobs, maintain confidentiality, and be flexible.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Confidence in the use of appropriate technology.
