The Optum Idaho Provider Customer Service call center is the phone number on network providers’ claim remittances for Idaho Medicaid outpatient behavioral health. Six months to one year of healthcare claims experience is required. We offer a supportive and engaging onboarding program with introduction to our resources and tools. Responsibilities include offering any caller a supportive and responsive demeanor, referring to tools and training for accurate call responses, and documenting calls in a manner that supports closure of an inquiry or timely follow up. When not on a call, we conduct proactive spot audits related to payment and company “Blue Chips."
Answer incoming phone calls from health care providers (i.e. physician offices, clinics) and identify the type of assistance the provider needs (benefit and eligibility, billing and payments, authorizations for treatment, explanation of benefits)
Focus on resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide appropriate response to caller
Deliver information and answer questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff
Complete the documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends
HS Diploma / GED (or higher)
6+ months of experience in a customer service call center environment
6+ months of healthcare claims experience
