This Business Analyst position will report to the Manager Clinical Analytics and interacts with various Blue Cross of Idaho departments.

We\'re looking for a BA with:

Business Analyst II:

Experience: 3 years\' as Business Analyst or related experience

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Technical Discipline or related field; OR equivalent work experience (Two years\' relevant work experience equals one year of college)

Business Analyst III:

Experience: 5 years\' as Business Analyst or related experience

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Technical Discipline or related field; OR equivalent work experience (Two years\' relevant work experience equals one year of college)

  • Knowledge of gathering and documenting business requirements, process mapping methodologies, and project management
  • Teamwork & communication
  • Analytical skills such as problem solving, process improvement methodologies
  • Presentation, facilitation, and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to help influence results and outcomes, connect with both technical and business teams, and engage with internal/external customers
  • Ability to be a self-starter, while balancing multiple tasks and meeting benchmarks.
  • Analyze business operations, business development, and assist with development of process and system specifications
  • Identifies, plans, and implements organization process improvements to reduce costs, errors, or re-works
  • Introduces new methods and processes to improve product/service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Promotes and shares best practices that sustain business process improvement across the organization
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Intermediate/Adv

We\'d love it if our BA also has:

  • Healthcare/Insurance experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance
  • Experience coordinating with IT on software development projects
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma methodologies
  • SQL experience

Your day may look like:

  • Recommend solutions or improvements to business processes
  • Research business requirements, develop detailed specifications, and validate the solutions with business partners
  • Communicate needs to the development team by translating business requirements
  • With IT support, own the development of tools, applications, reports, and analytics to enable strategic programs and metrics for the Print Fulfillment Services department
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and work through a resolution (root cause analysis)
  • Plan and execute business user acceptance testing and related test activities
  • Develops documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analysis
  • Researches, gathers and analyzes information related to specific assignments
