Meta SEC Reporting Analyst in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Meta is looking for a SEC Reporting analyst who shows genuine interest in financial reporting, demonstrates attention to detail, brings strong risk analytic skills to the table and has automation and continuous improvement mindset. In this role, you will participate in the preparation and filing of annual and quarterly financial statements, as well as Proxy and other SEC filings. This role will have opportunities to partner with technical accounting, investor relations, FP&A, tax, treasury, controllership, equity accounting, internal reporting as well as a broad group of cross-functional business teams to provide timely and accurate guidance to external reporting considerations.

Required Skills:

SEC Reporting Analyst Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the preparation of documents for 10-Q, 10-K and Proxy filings

  2. Prepares, reconciles, reviews and analyzes financial records, statements, and reports as required

  3. Assist in the Company’s SOX compliance efforts in connection with the financial reporting process

  4. Ensure compliance and review of the XBRL process. Prepare or review disclosure checklists and ensure compliance with all GAAP and disclosure requirements.

  5. Stay up to date on changes to accounting standards and proactively identify potential impacts to Meta’s financial statements.

  6. Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.

  7. Support tests performed by internal and external auditors on internal controls.

  8. Benchmark studies, ad-hoc projects, and research on SEC or technical updates, as needed.

  9. Background with SEC filings (10K, 10Q, XBRL tagging)

  10. Ability to stay organized with work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines

  1. 4+ years of experience in accounting, SEC reporting, or equivalent.

  2. Communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a great team player

  3. Superior attention to detail

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or finance, accounting, or related field.

  2. 3+ years of experience in public accounting.

  3. CPA or equivalent qualification.

  4. Proficient user of Workiva, Oracle and Essbase Hyperion, Alteryx and related analytical tools.

  5. Experiences in a fast-paced technology public company.

Public Compensation:

$92,000/year to $134,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
