Meta eDiscovery & Information Governance Case Manager in Menlo Park, California
Summary:
As a Case Manager on the eDiscovery & Information Governance Team, you will partner with internal legal teams, technical staff, IT support teams, and outside counsel. As part of a team of eDiscovery attorneys, professionals, data scientists, and eDiscovery technical operations, you will focus on discovery efforts in the various phases of preserving, extracting, processing, and producing company data. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role; this position plays a key role and is responsible for partnering with in-house and outside counsel in all phases of litigation and regulatory matters, investigations, and all other matters requiring the preservation, identification, collection, processing, and production of data.

eDiscovery & Information Governance Case Manager Responsibilities:
This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role
Conduct various document searches and factual research
Partner with internal teams during the pre-claim investigation and early case assessment phases of active matters as well as through the entire life cycle of a case
Partner with internal and outside legal teams to manage matters throughout the lifecycle
Partner with internal teams to drive process improvements and efficiency
Prepare and facilitate signature and delivery of legal documents
Act as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors and outside counsel
Use litigation eDiscovery applications to preserve, search, sort, and organize large amounts of electronic data
Assist with the development of multi-disciplinary structures, policies, procedures, processes and controls implemented to manage information at an enterprise level
Create and maintain internal case databases
Process and triage collected company data and maintain internal data repositories
Maintain appropriate chain of custody and other documentation throughout the lifecycle of matters in accordance with accepted protocols
Manage confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity
Provide oversight of budget spending on assigned matters
Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS degree
5+ years litigation experience in a corporate, law firm, government, or eDiscovery vendor environment
Experience with eDiscovery review platforms
Experience managing confidential information
Organizational and critical thinking experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Paralegal certificate or project manager certification/experience
Team-oriented, with experience clearly conveying ideas and points of view, proactive and calm under pressure
Working knowledge of the Information Governance Reference Model (IGRM) and eDiscovery Reference Model (EDRM)
Public Compensation:
$116,000/year to $166,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
