Position overview:
The SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory¿s Contractor Assurance and Contract Management Division has an exciting employment opportunity for Contractor Assurance Management Program Liaison with a background in compliance and process improvement experience. As a member of our Contractor Assurance and Contract Management team, the CACM coordinator is responsible for managing various aspects of the Contractor Assurance Management program for their assigned directorate/division. Requires a high degree of organization and strong communication skills. This position reports to the Director of Contractor Assurance & Contract Management (CACM)
Your specific responsibilities include:
- Direct and lead complex Contractor Assurance Management Program or functions in consultation with senior leadership.
Issues and Improvement Program:
Provides guidance to local leaders related to the progress of and management of assigned issues.
Tracks the status of assigned SIIMS items within the organization and communicates or escalates notable concerns to Senior Management Team (SMT).
Manages any issues tracked in SIIMS within their organization on behalf of Issue Owners or the organizations Management, as needed.
Provides guidance to issue owners in determining if an effectiveness review is required for a particular issue and ensures that effectiveness reviews are added to IAS.
Facilitates training on various CACM processes and systems.
Escalate concerns related to issues and actions within assigned organizations.
Incident Investigations:
- Collaborates with and provides guidance to Division/Directorate line management to enable consistent reporting of incidents and performing effective follow-up investigations that identify root and contributing causes as directed.
Enterprise Risk Management Program (ERMP):
Acts as the owner of the Local Risk Register (LRR) for their assigned division.
Collaborates with SMT managers to assist with documentation and tracking of mitigation plans for Risks tracked within the Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS).
Collaborates with the Enterprise Risk Program Manager to facilitate the annual update of their respective organizational risk profile with close integration of line management.
Collaborates with the Enterprise Risk Program Manager to facilitate the annual ERMP workshop.
Acts as the directorate representative on the Director¿s Assurance Subcommittee
Institutional Assessment Program (IAP):
Assist with the scheduling and coordination of assessments within assigned organizations.
Collaborates with the IAP Manager to facilitate and track outcomes resulting from the annual performance assurance planning process.
Work with SMT on identifying areas of opportunity for new assessments and effectiveness reviews.
Identify current assessment work being done but not reflected in the integrated assessment plan.
Institutional Requirements Program:
Coordinates the review and communication of institutional requirements documents within their assigned organizations in accordance with this IRP document.
Provides review of Draft Policies
Lessons Learned Program (LLP):
Review the DOE OPEXSHARE Lessons Learned Database routinely for lessons learned that are pertinent to activities in the Division/Directorate. Share these lessons learned within the group.
Ensure lessons learned captured and created by the Division/Directorate are filed within SLAC¿s Lessons Learned Master database.
Provide regular updates to line management on lessons learned as applied current job tasks and review Pre Job-Briefs
Participate in the Lessons Learned Committee. Develop and track metrics for assigned directorate.
Additional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Review Directorate/Division MWA (Management Walk Around) for possible issues/leading indicator of potential concerns and report to the Directorate/Division manager.
Coordinate with Senior Management Team on potential contract changes.
Function as a business partner to the assigned areas.
Assist with implementation and monitoring of the Quality Assurance Plan for their organizations.
Additional tasks as assigned.
Assess processes to determine how to reduce rework, improve quality, improve efficiency, and/or improve the ability to deliver desired services or outputs related to CACM Programs within assigned Directorate/Division.
Structure the approach and determine process improvement tools to be used for maximizing the net improvement in targeted CACM processes.
Advise in analysis of metrics by defining and identifying key measures and performance metric targets and assisting in development of complex cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed changes.
Provide input to improvement approach and execute portions of the changes with limited or no direction.
Provide hands-on team facilitation, coaching, mentoring and/or training, and Contractor Assurance subject matter expertise to business partners.
Challenge current working practices; identify process improvement opportunities and facilitate goal setting using customer feedback, analysis, and other systems.
Lead strategic planning and analysis for complex functions or programs with significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise. May provide development of program or function from initial concept to implementation.
Manage the administration and evaluation of programs or functions. Oversee the interpretation, implementation and compliance with policies and regulations. Recommend actions and/or resolve complex issues that often span organizational boundaries.
Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Develop and manage outreach strategy that includes relationship development, communications, and compliance.
Oversee or supervise staff in the development and implementation of programs or functions.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
Bachelor¿s degree in Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field and eight years of relevant experience incompliance, process improvement, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position is $153,748 - $190,812per annum SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory/Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
