Job Title: Maintenance Technician II - Electrician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II - Electrician, your role will involve safely performing a wide range of maintenance and electrical duties, including emergency and preventative repairs to plant machinery and infrastructure. Your day will start with a team discussion on the projects and reactive maintenance issues at hand. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing various machinery including PLC's, AC/DC power, cranes, shop blasters, slitter machines, painters, controls, and more. Safety is paramount in this role, and as such, you are expected to perform Lockout/Tagout procedures when necessary. Occasionally, you will also be required to handle basic facilities work such as changing out lightings, ballasts, and plumbing. Some outdoor work may be required as well as flexibility on shifts for holiday coverage.

Hard Skills

  • 3-5+ years of electrical experience

  • VFD's, read and interpret blueprints and schematics, hydraulics

  • Troubleshooting and repairing PLC's, AC/DC power, cranes, shop blasters, slitter machines, painters, controls, 480V, hydraulics, pumps, valves, robotics, blades

  • Experience with electrical cabinets and controls

  • Lockout/Tagout procedures

  • Basic MS Word, Excel experience

  • Experience with ORACLE for S/R (not required, but a plus)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Memphis, Tennessee.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-temperature controlled open-door environment. It may involve outdoor work and the potential requirement to turn on and set up boilers to get the plant running. Flexibility on shifts for holiday coverage is expected. After one year of employment, you may be eligible for an education assistance program. Training will initially be 1-2 weeks on the first shift, with the possibility of longer days depending on how quickly you grasp the business process.
