Duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee aspects of warehouse that includes tracking / segregation of leasing material for brokerage; works alongside production team to determine what orders need filling and applies necessary manpower as needed;

• Scheduling and order processing;

• Coordinate and process pick tickets, cycle counting sheets and physical inventory sheets;

• Identify and resolve issues regarding extended vendor lead times;

• Ensure all vendor returns are processed in a timely manner;

• Maintain proper stocking levels and accurate inventory, cycle counting and various SAP transactions;

• Expedite, plan, manage and ship material to meet customer expectations;

• May supervise the work of others;

• Receive, identify, and unload materials / parts and store in inventory;

• Identifies, draws from inventory, and transports material, parts and equipment associated with the assembly of locomotives to and from assembly areas, machines, loading docks and other areas;

• Familiarizes self with different work areas to assure prompt delivery and adequate supply of required items;

• Ability to clearly communicate and document the processing of incoming and outgoing;

• Operate industrial forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment and / or overhead cranes to perform material handling assignments;

• Must be able to deliver urgent items to the production floor consistently, accurately, and safely;

• Able to clearly communicate the tracking of incoming parts and relay this to management quickly, consistently, and accurately;

• Follow verbal or written work instructions, standards and or QWI’s consistently, accurately, and safely.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a warehouse setting;

• 1+ experience in inventory control and maintenance;

• Experience using LN,SAP or other related WMS;

• Must have experience operating a forklift;

• Experience supervising the work of others preferred;

• Experience working in a manufacturing, manufacturing environment;

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail;

• Microsoft Office skills.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions

• Strength – Position requires lifting of 50lbs, push and pull up to 125lbs;

• Motion – Position requires standing the majority of the day. Frequent walking, squatting, kneeling and climbing of steps and stairs;

• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Exposed to high levels of noise and vibration. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and hear audible alarms;

• Work Environment – Position can be located inside or outside, dependent on situation. When inside, the

employees are subject to temperature extremes in non-temperature controlled environments. When outside employees are subject to all weather elements. Works on varied surfaces, concrete floors, and gravel, rail car and locomotive floors. Works at varied heights from floor level to tops of locomotives. Work in confined spaces. Employees will work with oils and other lubricants;

• Emotional Demands – Due to the working environment, noise, dust, personal protective equipment, employee must be comfortable working alone;

• Safety – Safety sensitive positions because it works in and around active tracks, rail cars, locomotives, and

other moving equipment. Employee must abide by all safety protocols, health/medical screenings and utilize all required PPE. Included but not limited to metatarsal boots, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, aprons, ear protection, etc.
