We are looking for a strong candidate who works with the Ethicon Franchise, and JNJ at the Distribution Center to address business and customer priorities. The role will focus on projects and initiatives across key several Supply Chain/Deliver pillars, integrating Deliver within the core E2E processes and driving functional excellence to deliver on our Customer Promise. The Global Franchise Quality Lead will have franchise specific accountability for Ethicon.

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Customer Centric Tasks:

  • Collaborates and influences internal stakeholders (e.g., quality compliance, supply chain, source, planning, transportation, distribution centers) to align and objectives including but not limited to scrap reduction and timely product disposition to minimize the customer impact through Q&C redress/other activities.

  • Understands and addresses operational issues such as transportation or packaging-related challenges that affect product quality

  • Works to identify root causes of quarantined, expired or damaged products and develops strategies to prevent recurrence.

  • Partners with other distribution centers such as the European Distribution Center (EDC) & the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) to leverage learnings and deployment of solutions across all major distribution centers.

  • Effective oversight on the implementation and status of critical projects and initiatives. On some of the initiatives, take the lead, co-lead role or provide support.

Operational Efficiency and Quality Control:

  • Manages quarantine/expired product inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution.

  • Develops clear, actionable work instructions for the disposition of medical products.

  • Supports teams in resolving issues related to inbound and outbound products to ensure smooth distribution operations. In collaboration with the franchise and local teams, ensures that the product dispositions and redress activities have the adequate quality control and are being performed on time and in full.

Data-Driven Solutions and Process Creation:

  • Analyzes operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.

  • Creates and implements streamlined processes based on analytical insights to improve efficiency and address recurring product quality challenges.

  • Develops and deploys digital solutions (e.g., automation, reporting tools) to support process improvements and meet business needs.

  • Use data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance and Communication:

  • Ensures all activities are performed in compliance with company policies and external regulations.

  • Maintains open communication with management and cross-functional teams to address business-related issues or opportunities.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum five years of relevant professional work experience.

  • Experience in Quality or Supply Chain functions such as Transportation, Distribution, Planning, Procurement or Manufacturing.

  • Experience in Medical Device industry.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations and business processes, with the ability to balance operational goals with compliance and quality requirements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point; familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) is preferred.

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate analytical insights into actionable processes that improve quality performance.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively articulate messages to a variety of audiences and work with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze root causes and implement practical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to create executive and operational presentations to review business performance.

  • May require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites.
