Job Description

Responsible for overseeing Clinical and Patient Experience applications within the Epic environment at Northwell. Directs, plans, organizes and evaluates large, highly complex enterprise digital patient experience features/capabilities and associated business processes from strategy and design through execution. Facilitates the activities of the business, including all change and culture management components as well as coordinating the technical execution, including digital marketing, software development and technology business solutions. Actively monitors performance and makes adjustments to drive KPIs and desired outcomes. Participates in the ongoing process to identify and prioritize business processes and functions that can be converted to digital to enhance experience, outcomes, efficiency, and ultimately empower the patient to become a trusted partner in the management and delivery of their care.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads MyChart team members on optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects.

  • Leading MyChart Analysts through implementations; providing instruction on various technical topics to other team members, educating/training new hires, providing mentorship to team members, managing an application project through the entire project life cycle while meeting project deadlines and initiatives, and monitoring a project plan while reporting project changes and status to project managers and supervisor.

  • Work with Northwell's Consumer Digital team on MyChart customizations and enhancements

  • Leads an enterprise digital patient experience group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support the release and upgrade of digital products across the health system.

  • Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility. Prioritizes products on a rolling 6-month roadmap to make releases successful and drive product KPIs.

  • Develops and monitors strategic operating goals, objectives and budget; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.

  • Regularly collaborates and partners with leaders across multiple functions to drive cohesiveness across web and mobile platforms, determine the process for rolling out product development, and improve the quality of products delivered.

  • Identifies, gathers, and drives consensus among multiple teams and functions across the health system. Removes barriers and resolves backlog to move objectives forward.

  • Proactively drives cooperation and fosters collaboration across multiple teams and functions including Product and Engineering.

  • Defines, tracks, and communicates key business and usage success metrics to senior executive leaders and team members

  • Refines product practices and improves consistency in quality deliverables by providing research summaries, roadmap documentation, and product requirement documents across product managers.

  • Develops and manages direct reports, and oversees the development and management of their staff.

  • Attend Epic training to meet and maintain requirements for ongoing certification.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required, preferably leading an Epic team.

  • Certification in Epic required, with a focus on MyChart strongly preferred.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $152,000-$266,000/year
