JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Brandywine Housing and Food Services is searching for a full time Food Service Receiver to join their team. Duties include:
Receive, check and verify incoming foods and supplies
Inform supervisor of discrepancies involving price, quality and quantity
Store food and supplies in proper location so that oldest, open cases, or broken lots are used first
Deliver food and supplies according to requisition to various preparation areas; issue cleaning supplies and maintain laundry supplies as required
Complete daily operation sheet according to standard procedures
Assist in accomplishing monthly physical inventory
Maintain and organize storeroom, receiving areas, refrigerators and freezers
Check temperatures
Perform duties of Food Service Worker B
Job Requirements: Requires the use of commercial English, grammar and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, together with the use of adjustable measuring instruments, graduates and the like requiring interpretation in their various applications; or the posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data. Requires the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division while checking incoming foods and supplies. 6 to 12 months of effective experience.
Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, Friday 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.,
Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Days Off: Saturday, Sunday
NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE AS A PART OF YOUR JOB DUTIES. A VALID DRIVER`S LICENSE AND SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED IN ADDITION TO STANDARD BACKGROUND CHECKS.

This position is part of the bargaining unit represented by Teamsters Local Union No. 8 and has a starting hourly wage of $20.10 After six (6) full pay periods (bi-weekly) from the date of hire, the rate increases to $22.40 per hour.
