Job Summary and Qualifications

*Work Schedule: Mon - Thursday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM*

The CT/MRI Technician performs superior/quality CT and MRI scans on all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic environment based on practice standards and magnet safety guidelines. Participates in departmental improvement activities.

What you will do in this role:

• Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing

• Knowledge of magnet safety

• Competence in CT and MRI imaging

• Must show proficiency in starting intravenous lines

• Must adhere to HCA’s Radiation Right Policies and follow ALARA guidelines

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

• Must have six months supervised MRI scanning; or, if the technologist was performing MRI prior to 1996, must have competency assessed by a Radiologist

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

• State Registered Radiologic Technician

• High School Graduate / GED
