Responsibilities Plans distribution, prescribes deadlines and sequence of work on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis for subordinates. Explain all work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards and safety precaution to all personnel. Ensures all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site. Reviews work in progress and upon completion. Performs performance management including but not limited to setting performance standards, scheduling and approving leave, counseling employees and position management. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as a Fork Lift Operator (Materials Handler) Supervisor assigning tasks to be performed, demonstrating proper work methods, and ensuring all equipment, plans, materials and tools are available. Ensures all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site. Performs full performance management duties for all subordinate workers. This position is in an industrial manufacturing environment located at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Fork Lift Operator (Materials Handler) Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Must have the ability to perform supervisory duties to include planning workload; Explain work requirements, methods and procedures, instructs subordinates in new procedures, and provide advice when problems arise; Maintain production reports and records; Set performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. This is a(n) Transportation Management Career Field position. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
