Job Description:

Oversee and drive the technology and execution of our Space and Sensor Products

• Accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical commitments for programs in the Sensors area.

• Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance our product offerings.

• Provide direction to cross-functional teams in the assessment and integration of new technologies into existing product lines.

• Provide technical expertise in the development of proposals and presentations to customers and stakeholders.

• Serve as single point-of-contact between leadership and Engineering for the space and sensors area.

• Ensure design and developed systems are in compliance with specifications.

• Drive strategic architectural and design decisions.

• Work with Program Management, Business Development, and Operations to develop tactical and operational plans and goals.

• Manage & execute a 5+ year strategy plan with minimal oversight or direction.

• Provide technical direction and leadership, ensuring that engineering efforts align with the company's strategic goals.

• Partner with Business development to provide technical solutions to the customer’s needs.

• Partner with department managers to ensure proper allocation and management of engineering resources within their product area, including budgets, tools, and staffing.

• Mentor engineers and technical leads, fostering professional growth and building a strong, competent engineering team.

• Ensures that all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

• Support the strategic planning of the Sensors organization.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience OR a graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience. 3 Years minimum experience in engineering development efforts on sensor products.

• Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

  Preferred Additional Skills:

• Chief Engineering Organization and/or Functional Management leadership experience.

• Proven experience with executive-level interactions and communication.

• Knowledge of coordinating cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated promotion of open and productive collaboration and teamwork across multiple functions.

• Understanding of entire program/engineering life cycle phases and how funding is established.
