Luxottica of America, Inc. has an opening for a Director Product Innovation -- Eyemed in Mason, Ohio.
Duties: Scan market trends, source ideas internally and externally and evaluate implications for EyeMed and its customers. Build and manage an active pipeline of innovation opportunities by collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to deliver a consistent growth. Actively manage prioritization based on EyeMed priorities, macro and micro trends, as well as consumer behavior shifts. Manage and refine a process to rapidly vet and assess feasibility of potential innovations. Lead development of requirements and work plan across functions to enable successful delivery of prioritized innovations. Prepare reports and presentations to keep senior leadership up to date with recommendations and status. May telecommute.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's Degree in business administration or related field and 5 years of experience in a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and 7 years of experience in a related occupation. Position requires some experience in each of the following: 1) Ability to engage with internal stakeholders across different functional teams on a project-based approach despite not directly managing stakeholders; 2) Preparing and delivering presentations to senior leadership committees; 3) Analyzing large sets of data and external sources to prove or disprove hypotheses based on relevant sources of information; 4) Excel modeling applied to insight analysis, preparation of business cases, and data visualization (financial and business); 5) Designing and launching processes to facilitate new business opportunities, decision-making and drive consensus across functional areas of the company; 6) Conducting strategy projects from aligning on hypotheses to defining scope and approach, researching, and delivering recommendations etc.; 7) Previous experience in the optical industry in the US and/or internationally.
