Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in procurement

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post secondary education or equivalent

  • Mechanical knowledge

Day in the life:

As a procurement professional you will demonstrate your expertise in purchasing and processes. Your goal is to procure truck and heavy equipment parts, tools, materials, goods, and business services as you navigate through the catalogue of suppliers, diligently following up on pricing and order status. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential as you have to be resourceful when accessing and processing information, thinking critically.

You will gather pricing information from vendors and process incoming requisitions, followed by issuing purchase orders to suppliers.

Any previous mechanical knowledge or experience will be beneficial in this role, being flexible and adaptable will be important as you continue to learn more about truck and heavy equipment parts. This role demands not only sharp focus and attention to detail but also exceptional communication skills as you work with internal and external stakeholders.
