Salary range: $40,000-$55,000 * * * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, conduct audits, and prepare financial reports to assist management in achieving profitable business growth.__ * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* * _ * Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings. Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales invoices, transfer records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. Analyzes product margins and investigates discrepancies from expected values. Reconciles general ledger accounts and determines proper handling of financial transactions. Assists in analysis of financial information and preparation of profit and loss statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position for other managers. Audits records of departments and interviews workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Examines department activities for compliance with management plans and policies. Assesses the proper accountability of assets by conducting inventories. Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures. Prepares and submits audit findings and makes recommendations to management. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation. Provides customer service in a timely and accurate manner to increase customer satisfaction, maintain the reputation and profitability of the organization training for Agvance and FBS training. Performs all other duties as assigned. * REQUIREMENTS* Normally requires an Associate’s degree in accounting or business, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of accounting related work experience or internships to demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Prefer an understanding of General Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP). Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
