Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

Join our team as a Quality Control Inspector at Ascent Aviation Services, a premier Class IV 14 CFR Part 145 certified repair station. We specialize in comprehensive aircraft maintenance across all fleet lifecycles, encompassing a wide range of aircraft from narrow to wide body, and regional to long-haul. Our extensive facilities also include one of the world’s largest storage and reclamation operations. In this role, you will be responsible for technical research and detailed inspection of aircraft in various stages of maintenance and repair. You will enforce strict quality control standards, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and our internal policies. This position requires meticulous documentation, thorough inspections of aircraft components, and maintenance of company equipment. Your contributions will ensure the highest standards of safety and workmanship in the aviation industry.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to use hand tools, hydraulic press brake, power shear, forming equipment

  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as protractor, micrometer, calipers, and gauges

  • Experience with logging inspections and maintaining accurate records

  • Understanding of FAA regulations and aircraft/component maintenance manuals

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Marana, Arizona.

Work Environment

This role requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. It involves frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level, with occasional lifting of up to 50lbs unassisted. You will operate various equipment and may work in environments with high noise levels, extreme temperatures, and potential hazards such as unprotected heights and moving machinery. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, and ear protection will be provided. The position is located primarily in the B777 Cargo Conversion Program area but may extend property-wide.
