Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Senior Statistician in the Central R&D Product Informatics and Modeling group, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Leading the strategy for best statistical practices within R&D programs of major importance related to product development, product improvements, and validation of product performance.Delivering, validating, and critically assessing the quality of required statistical deliverables for physical lab and in silico design of experiment studies.Executing corresponding statistical analyses for validation, verification and credibility assessments of R&D studies.Contributing to reports, abstracts, and manuscripts including regulatory submissions.Presenting and helping cross-functional business teams interpret statistical results which include generating appropriate statistical graphics and explaining various statistical concepts.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Master's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Two (2) years of experience in the design of statistical studies and statistical analysis in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in one of the following disciplines: Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Applied MathematicsFive (5) years of applied statistical analysis experience in a private, public, government or military environmentProven ability to apply relevant statistical techniques in both high and low volume data scenarios to identify significance, bias, correlations, and error to guide decision making processesProficiency in SAS, SQL, Databricks, R, Python, Spark; other software as appropriate to task.Experience with statistics within data analytics and data science workflowsExperience with statistics applied to complex data analyses with laboratory or manufacturing environments particularly within the chemical or materials applicationsExperience with statistical and credibility analyses required for regulatory filingsRemains informed regarding industry changes software, trends, best practices and applicable regulations and assesses impact of changes on the projectAbility to influence and educate cross-functionallyAbility to provide methodological consultation on statistical studies and analyses, for example should have experience with regression modeling and hypothesis testingAbility to interpret analytic results and provide analytic input for final reports and presentationsDemonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and conciselyDemonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projectsWork location: Maplewood, MN (Hybrid)Travel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
