ManpowerGroup Mechanical Designer in Maple Grove, Minnesota

A medical device client of ours is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to join their team ASAP! This role will be responsible for working from redlines and completing drawing changes for products and tooling. Candidates MUST be proficient in SolidWorks and ideally have worked within the medical device industry prior. This is a contract to possible hire opportunity!

Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

Location: Plymouth , MN

Salary: 30-40hr, depends on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Updates mechanical drawings per ECO/CO redline instructions using SolidWorks

  • Ensures new drawings and drawing revisions follow quality system drafting standards and work instructions

  • Responsible for CAD file revisions, workflows, and accuracy in Project Data Management (PDM) database/vault

  • Manage and prioritize ECO/CO workload, ensuring accuracy and completeness of drafting work following quality systems and department work instructions

  • Recommends process improvements to work instructions and ECO/CO process, ensuring compliance with FDA QSR’s and ISO requirements

Requirements

  • AAS Drafting and Design or related degree

  • Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience working as a drafter within the medical device industry

  • Must be proficient in SolidWorks

  • General knowledge of manufacturing technologies: milling, drilling, turning, EDM, deburring, welding, broaching, stamping, extrusion, injection molding, etc.
