Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing field support services and assisting managers, supervisors, and team members with the implementation of specific company safety and health policies and procedures. Regulatory compliance, continual improvement of the overall performance of the company in a manner that is consistent with the company's core values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement and Monitor: Coordinate, implement, and monitor the Company Safety and Health Program at assigned location or locations. Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to reduce injuries, illnesses, and incidents to meet business objectives, with the support of a Safety Manager or Safety Director. Pre-Job Planning: Lead pre-job safety planning meetings to develop and execute of the site-specific safety and health plan, including all elements. Training and Education: Initiate, coordinate and lead safety meetings and training programs to communicate company policies. Utilize incident trends and inspection data to recommend training solutions. Work across areas of Safety to share knowledge and leverage best practices. Audits and Inspections: Independently initiate, perform and document safety and health audits, evaluations, inspections and/or safety conversations; communicate and lead the implementation of corrective actions. Incident Investigation and Analysis: Lead in investigating injury, illness, and general liability incidents, providing strategies to reduce future occurrences. Conduct quality and timely investigation, analysis and coding of worker's compensation and general liability incidents into the company's data management system. Collaborate with operations managers to monitor strategies and evaluate the impact of ongoing performance. Technical Communication: Working with Safety Manager to develop and distribute safety correspondence to further enhance elements of the safety and health management system. Update team members on regulatory and company policy/procedure changes. Identify Individual Training/Support: Identify and assist team members needing training or support to meet safety and health training requirements. Follow-up with operations managers to ensure trainings are proactively scheduled and completed prior to upcoming work activities. Safety Program Coordination: Lead and coordinate project safety programs with subcontractors, vendors, and third-party personnel to ensure adherence to regulatory, owner, and site-specific safety policies and procedures. Participate in subcontract/vendor coordination meetings to facilitate regulatory compliance. Point of Contact: Under the guidance of a Company Safety Manager, Director or VP of Safety, serve as a point of contact for any federal, state, or municipal safety or risk management authority and/or personnel, (i.e. OSHA, MSHA, EPA, etc.). Serve as the point of contact with the client. Assist corporate insurance personnel in investigating and managing incidents to minimize loss.
