Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Material Handler Teams perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. They unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items. They lift heavy items and may operate a forklift. Material Handlers prepare and maintain records of shipments, post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment. They examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and may prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

Key tasks and skills of the job:

Ensure correct picking of materials from system documentation.

Deliver any material to Operational areas within the factory as per the systems documentation.

Follow Company processes within the SAP ERP system to ensure system accuracy and integrity of items picked and delivered.

Ensure timely picking of materials and good housekeeping within the warehouse.

File and process paperwork within the area in line with system requirements.

Must be able to push and maneuver carts & lift up to 55 lbs.

Must be able to bend, stretch, & reach overhead.

This position requires standing/walking for extended periods of time.

Incident reporting in line with company EH&S guidelines.

Maintain safe working practices supporting the companies 5S +1 initiative.

Safety glasses and safety shoes and appropriate PPE is required.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED

  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.

  • Qualified candidates will have experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.

  • Knowledge in excel and Microsoft Word.

  • Familiarity with inventory stocking and computer systems is preferred.

  • Must be able to lift objects up to 55LB.

  • Physical Demands – Regularly required standing & walking; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouching.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $34,400- $51,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
